I’m a day late with my Friday Submission, but these are well worth the wait. There is no rush on these because three out of four are always open, and the fourth is open until December. You certainly don't want to rush your Tiny Love Story for the NY Times!

Insider Notes
Vine Leaves Press-50 Give or Take: We love bite-sized stories to brighten the day, which is exactly why we created 50 Give or Take. If you subscribe, you'll receive daily microfiction of fifty words or less straight into your inbox. Despite popular opinion, the name 50 Give or Take doesn't refer to the amount of words in the story. The title is a metaphor for what we, as readers and writers, give and take emotionally from the written word. So if you decide to submit, make sure your story is 50 words or less. Please subscribe to get an idea of what is published, before submitting your work. All stories will be published in an annual print collection to be released in November every year
Citron Review- In each issue of the journal, you can experience the larger world through very small, focused lenses—fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction in small, economical packages. The essays and poems and stories in The Citron Review land all along the spectrum of human experience. They do what literature does best—tell us what it’s like to be human in new and different ways. We hope to include all of the possibilities that entails within this journal.
The Good Life- At TGLR, we strive to provide a beautiful and equitable platform for writers and artists to showcase and share their poetry, prose, and art, and we make every effort to offer a supportive, considerate, and professional publishing experience.
NY Times Tiny Love Stories- What kind of love story can you share in two tweets, an Instagram caption or a Facebook post? Tell us a love story from your own life — happy or sad, capturing a moment or a lifetime — in no more than 100 words. Include a picture taken by you that complements your narrative, whether a selfie, screenshot or snapshot. We seek to publish the most funny and heart-wrenching entries we receive. We call them Tiny Love Stories. They are about as long as this paragraph. They must be true and unpublished. Love may be universal, but individual experiences can differ immensely, informed by factors such as race, socio-economic status, gender, disability status, nationality, sexuality, age, religion and culture. As in the main Modern Love column, we are committed to publishing a range of experiences and perspectives in Tiny Love Stories. We especially encourage Black and Indigenous people and other people of color to submit, as well as writers outside of the United States and those who identify as members of L.G.B.T.Q. communities. Share your story today. To read past Tiny Love Stories, go to nytimes.com/modernlove. There is also a book of some of our favorite Tiny Love Stories.
